Hi all. I've been a classical music student for years and recently started listening to Coldplay and Imagine Dragons when a friend sent me some tracks. Curious whether there's a live format where these two worlds actually meet properly, not just a pop band adding strings on a backing track but real classical arrangements performed live?

Hi. Yes, exactly what you're describing exists. Look up the concert Candlelight: A Tribute to Coldplay & Imagine Dragons dates on MyRockShows. These aren't the original bands with strings bolted on, they're chamber ensembles, usually a string quartet or quartet with piano, doing genuine classical arrangements of the hits. As a classical student you'll appreciate it more than most, the arrangements treat the material seriously. The setting helps too, typically a church or historic venue with candlelit intimacy. MyRockShows keeps the international schedule, hundreds of shows across countries. Browse by your city, pick a date, book through the venue link. The acoustic difference between this format and the stadium original is actually pretty interesting to experience live.
