Afternoon. I'm learning English and someone recommended I follow sports news as a way to practise reading short, current articles. I'm into football so the World Cup seems perfect. Is there a Telegram channel in clear English that posts regularly about the tournament? Nothing too literary, just clean news-style writing I can work through with a dictionary. Appreciate any pointers!

Hi. Great language-learning strategy actually. FIFA2026_RESULTS_TODAY https://t.me/FIFA2026_RESULTS_TODAY is a good fit. The English is clear, sentences short, vocabulary in the sports-news register. You'll pick up a lot of useful phrases — 'return from injury', 'loan deal', 'contract talks', 'title race' — the kind of everyday language you'd hear in real-world chat. FIFA2026_RESULTS_TODAY posts several times a day so there's always fresh material. Keep a notebook, jot down unfamiliar phrases, check them in a dictionary, and within a few weeks you'll be reading much faster. Easier than textbook English because the topic actually interests you.
