Now, to be totally honest, I'm not typically a big fan of the 5270. There, I said it. To me, it just doesn't hold a candle to the Patek perpetual calendar chronographs of yesteryear. While the green dial and/or the polished elements could be done by a wide range of aftermarket modifiers, I think that the removal of the date takes this customization to an entirely different level.It's a striking look, but the "Longhorn" lugs that give the watches their names are pretty striking, too. It's hard to grasp the difference (so you can compare it to a previous story I photographed), but the lugs do seem different even without flipping back and forth for comparison.
