We received the prize (which doesn’t exist anymore) for the Watch of the Year in 1997, but it was for Swiss brands only.To many people, when they hear "Fratello Watches", they think of the Omega Speedmaster.The Autodromo Group C comes in four variations: Bare, brushed stainless steel with yellow accents; grey-plated stainless steel with green accents; DLC black-plated stainless brushed with red and yellow accents; and Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars yellow cerakote with black and yellow accents – the last of which is unfortunately not photographed here but is one I cannot wait to see in the future.While there weren't a ton of new releases, there was enough to get excited about as the industry gears up for a fall season of releases, auctions, and more. They also explain the symbols engraved into the Tudor on our cover, and make a prediction about how many readers will correctly solve every answer to the quiz on our opening spread.I'm a big, big fan of this watch. Sure, green isn't usually my favorite color, and it's definitely not the obvious choice for this watch, but the execution here from top to bottom is outstanding. Montblanc has done a great job getting the details right, from the profile and finishes on the case to the subtle sunburst on the dial (which reminds me a bit of an old school guitar, in the best ways possible). To be able to get a steel chronograph of this quality at this price is a great thing indeed.

As the back of the watch indicates, it is a 'Tribute to Alaska Project III'.The fact that Porter had a significant part in bringing these versions to life proves that it was a collaboration done right.Not the first Talking Watches guest to share his love for the original Superocean Chronograph, Howie fell for this oversized chronograph Tag Heuer Aquaracer because of the slow moving chronograph hand, the activation dot (come on, how can you not love that?), and its large-for-the-day size.During the case, Ono presented evidence valuing the watch between $2 million anFinally, other Beatles watches have also appeared at auction, the most similar being Ringo Starr's Patek 3448 perpetual calendar, which sold for $180,000 in 2015. But in that same auction, one of Lennon's guitars sold for almost $1 million. It illustrates how there are The Beatles, and then there's John Lennon of The Beatles.
