As someone forever determined to own a Moonwatch, but only in the faithful Hesalite, closed caseback configuration, this watch changed my mind. That solely had to do with the 321 caliber. I had heard stories about it before in a historical context, but seeing it recreated in modern form was a whole other thing.The seamlessness of it all was just such an immediate contrast from the sometimes spastic staccato tick you see with so many conventional mechanical watches. It honestly made it difficult to put my personal watch back on that day.

Concerts were one of the first things I photographed when I picked up a camera, so I dusted off those skills for some music-meets-watch photography.

It's certainly visually different from the rest of the perpetual calendars in IWC's lineup. But when you knock it out of the park on technical achievement, I feel like you want the watch to feel like a gut punch of beauty and design. The movement finishing is also montre argent or a more commercial-grade product than bulova horloge heren something that omega bond seamaster touches the technical achievements of the highest of high-horology. But in doing so and not focusing on high-end hand finishing, I'm sure IWC has kept costs down substantially.
