The original Big Bang Sapphire made a name for itself by being the second "clear" watch to hit the luxury timepiece market. It was Richard Mille who first debuted a clear watch with the RM56-02 Tourbillon Sapphire (a development from the 2012 RM 056) using polished sapphire crystal.

We picked the Panerai Luminor Chrono PAM00121 from 2002.Aside from being fascinated by the sheer number of people working on the Moonshot – and that was only in America…who knows how many were working away in the USSR – I’m consistently amazed by the fact that the Moonshot was so successful despite the fact that computing was in its early days.Around 1998-99 came the introduction of the transitional "Swiss Only" dials in U, and A series. The "Swiss Only" represented the use of LumiNova for the luminous material on the dial and a transition away from the use of tritium. Tritium dials were phased Tag Heuer Aquaracer out for LumiNova starting around 1998, and Rolex changed the print at the bottom of the dial from the old "Swiss T>25" to just "Swiss."The brand flexes its craft here – set in the perhaps too large 42.5mm by 15.1mm platinum case is a green Grand Feu enamel dial on the front, while the back showcases a frosted white gold rotor with an engraving of a wood snake.
