Just prior to writing up these two introductions, I checked in with a friend who had been thinking about having his Marinemaster 300 PVD-coated, so naturally, his interest was piqued by this limited edition with its hard-black coating. It's soft and comfortable, and it mounts into a chunky but curved fold-over clasp with a fold-out dive extension. For those not wild about rubber, the U50's 20mm drilled lugs can suit for a wider range of straps and, unsurprisingly, I found that the U50 worked beautifully on a NATO (or really any strap I threw at it).My apartment (or the penthouse, as my wife and I like to call it) is at the top of a four-floor walkup in Brooklyn. Stand-out features of this watch that separate it from its steel counterparts are its pseudo all-grey-everything aesthetic with a grey dial and dark grey-hued titanium case and H-link bracelet.
