Our heads are basically in Geneva at this point and so for news like this to come out of Japan so close to Watches & Wonders just elevates the excitement level. In a way, we probably could have predicted a watch like this given the release of the Seiko SKX-inspired dive line that came into the new Seiko 5 Sports collection years back.
The watch world, in its vastness, has plenty of room for multiple red-bezel, black-dial watches. But the fun of collecting is in the choosing. And the choice is always personal. For me, it came down to a simple decision: Should I pay a fake audemars-piguet watches significant sum of money for a second Black Bay that I want but don't need? Or does the Timex alternative give me a comparable enough thrill?It's a tidy little package which, by Panerai standards, seems positively miniaturized. The power reserve is 72 hours, which is nice. The water resistance is 50 meters, which is less nice. But if you want a Panerai to go diving on the Amalfi Coast, that's what the Submersible line is for. Some of them are 47mm, with a display big enough to be seen from sea to shining sea. Have a ball.

It isn't often that you see an eccentric sub-dial done well (the Lange 1 being the best example of this in my opinion), so it is refreshing to see Hermès tackle this one. In my opinion they did a great job incorporating this design feature into one of their most successful collections to date.Chicago's cultural scene is unparalleled. And horology lovers have plenty to keep them occupied beyond taking wrist selfies in The Bean. You can pay your respects to the famous Marshall Field's Clock (even though the store is now a Macy's). Or if you're in Chicago after October, scoot up north of the city to the Halim Time and Glass Museum in Evanston.

Back at home I spend some time staring online at the sexier Rado. link It seems entirely possible if I wore that watch every person I met would say "Nice watch" and the amount of positive feeling would link have no choice but to accumulate into actual link real increased happiness. And that Rolex my pretty new friend. Maybe I would get the chance to wear it for a week or a month. What would people say to me then If I stared at a watch all the time instead of at a phone who might I become
Now, Seiko is known for producing quality watches link at relatively affordable prices – and this release is no different. But it's link at the bracelet where you really see the quality suffer. Both bracelets feel almost plastic-like, hollow, or tinny link – and I don't mean that to be interpreted as charm. I own a lot of old watches with old bracelets. I have a 25-year-old Rolex Explorer with a hollow-link Oyster bracelet (the pinnacle of jangly) and these are not that.
