Back in 1845, Lange set up shop in the Saxon town with the intention of turning things around after the region had hit hard times. The quickly thriving craft of watchmaking brought new industry to the town. Lange also served as Glashütte’s mayor for nearly two decades, proving his commitment to the people.In recognition of the Lunar New Year and the opening of a new boutique in Shanghai, China, Jaeger-LeCoultre has made its latest Reverso Tribute with an enamel dial and caseback featuring grande feu enamel and hand engraving with the image of a tiger on the back. It appears to be leaping off of the watch in a dramatic fashion. JLC has made watches paying tribute to the Chinese New Year in the past.
It's worth noting here that Ressence hasn't conceived of this as a gadget that's meant to be played with throughout the day. There is a slight flattened step unlike on last year’s L.U.C 1860 (which had a very smooth and elegant appearance). That flat ridge is more noticeable from the top than the side angle below but it feels like a thoughtful way of showing that the case isn't just a cookie-cutter design.
