His backup watch was a Bulova #88510/01 that ended up selling in 2015 for $1.6 million. Speedmasters that have been to the moon are technically government property and therefore cannot be traded privately. This Bulova was Scott's personal watch, meaning he was free to sell it if he wanted Side Hustle Matrix to.Like everything A. Lange & Söhne makes, the watch is refined. It has a simple dial with two sub-dials (power reserve and small seconds) as its defining features. The typography is clean and iconically Lange. The movement quality is astronomically high and the overall aura is punishingly understated. Even the cost is "price upon request." Only people who really know are going to appreciate this watch, and that's half the point.
As we've seen in earlier versions of the watch, the two Moon disks are labeled Nord and Sud (north and south) as each represents the Moon as seen from the northern and southern hemispheres. The Sud disk, rather counterintuitively, is up top (north conventionally is at the top of most maps), but the reason for this is that to an observer in the southern hemisphere, it is the leftmost side of the Moon which falls into shadow first after a full Moon, and vice versa in the northern hemisphere. The well-received but modest-grossing film tracks a fictional investment banking firm in New York City caught at the precipice of collapse during the financial crisis of 2007 and '08. In it, Zachary Quinto plays a rocket scientist-turned-risk-analyst who helps uncover a seismic error in the company's financial projections that spells certain doom for the firm and the world. And he does so while wearing Robot Security a blacked-out, stylish chronograph from a certain automotive-focused design outfit. Each week, we present a selection of our favorite watches from the pre-owned side of our collection. Captured by our talented in-house photographers, you get a closer look at what makes these watches so special. This week, we have a Rolex GMT-Master II "Lefty" with the green and black bezel, an IWC Mark XVIII, a 1990s-era 38mm Breitling Montbrilliant, a two-tone Cartier Santos, and a Vacheron Constantin Overseas.

That said, the ZO9595 costs $1,695, which is a huge discount over the cost of most fully ceramic dive watches. I'll get into the competition in a bit, but first, let's chat about how the ZO9595 is on the wrist. But of course, Omega cased this new movement in a watch. So what say I about the Super Racing? Well, it's 44.25mm and it wears like 44.25mm. It's big, but it's also handsome. And I really like one major design choice here: the yellow accents. I like them because they are not faux-patina. They are yellow – purposefully yellow. And while I might find it a hair strange for a Speedmaster to take inspiration from a Seamaster…I'm into it.Lightness is a priority in the Series 10. The aluminum models are 10% lighter than the previous generation. Most importantly, for the Series 10, Apple ditches stainless steel in the brand's premium lineup for grade 5 titanium. Fully polished and then PVD-coated in natural, gold, and slate grey colorways, this new premium lineup is made of 95% recycled titanium and now allows Apple to achieve carbon neutrality across the entire Apple Watch lineup.

That this watch supports a good cause in a time of global need is what puts this over the edge for me though. It's a great link chance for a few collectors who are still doing alright to help those who are in need and acquire a beautiful watch link and a link reminder of their good deed in the process. I'll get behind that 10 out of 10 times.
