For Watches & Wonders 2021, TAG Heuer is going back to the roots of Hybrid Play the Aquaracer with a brand new lineup that spans four 40mm references, three 36mm references, and one 43mm limited edition that has been directly inspired by a vintage Heuer diver from 1978. Reportedly thinner, lighter, and shorter lug-to-lug, with a bevy of colors and a smattering of titanium (and even diamonds), the new Aquaracer Professional 300 looks streamlined, thoughtful, and as versatile as ever.It's the first time I've seen a Girard-Perregaux like this, he says. "It has a very '70s look. I was very interested in the design, and the case being made of silver is quite cool. Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe made similar integrated bracelet watches out of white gold, but the use of silver here makes it a bit cheaper and more accessible for me."All four are offered in a no-date configuration and the Mustang, Corvette, and Thunderbird models all have three subdials providing a 12-hour maximum measure and 1/4th of a second resolution. The Shelby Cobra model uses two subdials for the chronograph and has a maximum measure of 30 minutes.Victorinox has long been a fascinating brand for me. As I grew up, the Swiss manufacturer became one of my first favorite brands after my grandmother gave me a Swiss Army Knife as a gift. A mix of good quality and fair pricing has always been at the forefront of what Victorinox does, and the brand maintains a careful and qualified perspective on Swiss-made products.

While much of the brand's recent success has hinged upon new-vintage treatments of their original Sub 300 design from 1967, the brand branched out, or rather forward (in time), last August when they announced the Sub 600T Pacific, a titanium limited edition dive watch made in partnership with the Australian watch blog Time + Tide.
