The dials and accents might come in a variety of colors, but they're all based on that original dial with the distinct markings. For the steel watches, you get a choice of the classic black, Disaster Games a bright white, and a rich grey, all of which come with black tachymeter bezels and varying levels of orange accents. The Sedna gold watch is completely different, with a dark shimmery blue dial and a matching midnight blue tachymeter bezel (and no orange to speak of).The Mark series has undergone several changes over the past two decades but this one represents a moment when the brand really had it figured out in the mid-2000s. You can actually see how IWC returned to this format with the XVIII and then now with the XX. It is pure class and about as good an everyday watch as you're likely to ever come across.
Don't get me wrong. Judged by pretty much any yardstick Puppy metaverse that isn't Panerai, the new Submersible Bronzo Blu Abisso is still a big watch. Though I've not had it on my wrist – 42 by 14.37 millimeters of bronze, including the signature Panerai crown guard system, ought to have a way of making its presence felt.The SRQ029 is a "sleeper" watch in that it never exploded in popularity initially, and there's so much "under the hood" that makes it stand out in Seiko's lineup. In it I found a perfect match for my '95 Skyline GTS25-T. At the top of the Skyline range is the GT-R, and that already has a Grand Seiko made in its honor, but step a rung down the ladder and you get something just as fantastic, but devoid of the hype. And devoid of the massive price tag–and that goes for both the car and the watch.For now though, the Tourbillon Rose Gold puts the full capabilities of Daniel Roth and La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton on display.
