Why do people save TikTok videos outside the app?

I’ve noticed a lot of people download TikTok videos instead of just saving them inside the app. Is there actually a reason for that or is it just personal preference?

At first the save feature feels enough, but once you start collecting more videos, the saved section becomes pretty chaotic and hard to manage.

I realized the difference after trying to find older videos I saved months ago. Everything was mixed together and some clips weren’t even available anymore. Somewhere in the middle of reorganizing everything, SnapTik became way more useful than I expected because downloading videos directly made it easier to actually keep and sort them instead of relying only on TikTok’s saved tab.
