This is a special timepiece that is only available to members of the Royal Australian Air Force (hence, RAAF).I'd recommend you take a moment to study all the different decorative techniques link that are present and visible on the dial of the Series 2. The screws are black polished, and the primary cut of the dial slopes inward, its edges embellished with anglage and visible interior/exterior angles. Turn the watch over and there's even more hand-finishing to peruse, including visible anglage on the various wheel spokes.I was capable of observing (or confirming the existence after reading about it in an article) the watch's off-center skeletonized rotor, which matches its off-center dial. The regulator is said to resemble a double swan's neck. I will confess that asymmetry becomes more attractive to me when symmetry is brought into it. I do indeed see something that looks like a swans' necks, and it's the very opposite of sad trombone.
The three discs also turn on different levels, with hours being the lowest, minutes in the middle, and seconds on the highest link level.The hour hand features a large circle towards the tip that hovers over the Selten wordmark.Additionally, the case is executed in sandblasted stainless steel with a gunmetal coating.The case measures 42mm in diameter.
