Hi everyone. I recently moved to Toronto and I’m struggling to understand how the local job market works. I’ve applied to many positions online but rarely get responses. Is it better to work with a recruitment agency instead? I’m open to temporary or full-time roles and would really appreciate advice from people who’ve been through this process.

Job searching in Toronto can definitely feel overwhelming, especially if you’re new to the city or country. Many employers receive hundreds of applications, so it’s not always about qualifications. Recruitment agencies can sometimes speed things up because they already have connections with hiring managers and know what companies are looking for.

I was in a similar situation last year and decided to connect with a toronto employment agency during my search. Working with a toronto employment agency helped me understand which industries were actively hiring and how to tailor my resume for the Canadian market. They also prepared me for interviews and matched me with roles I wouldn’t have found on my own. After a few weeks, I received multiple interview invitations and eventually secured a stable position. I highly recommend exploring this option if you want structured support and faster results.
