There's no part of the case that hangs over my wrist, whereas the 46mm big pilot does. Those 3mm make a very noticeable difference, and I say that as a former skeptic. This isn't like when the Rolex Submariner grew 1mm and absolutely no one could tell the difference. The 3mm downsize makes an enormous difference on the wrist, physically, but there's even more to it.Sure, all these new features come with a slight premium (the five-link variation is $400 more than the previous model on the oyster-style bracelet), but at $4,450 it's hard to think of a watch that looks this good with a similar set of features.
