I joined the Tour at la Grange de Meslay near Tours in the evening. There, the cars and drivers regrouped for some necessary maintenance. I wanted to mention this reference 2444 Seafarer to contrast the result with a later 2447 Seafarer that sold at Christie's for a much higher $40,000 in June.
An hour later, Fred and I arrived at a nondescript apartment building along the lake and rang the buzzer. After a few minutes, Sylvain link arrived and let us into the lobby. It was great to see him, but I wasn't prepared for what I saw next.Like when viewing a Renaissance master’s painting, the occasion is deeply impressive.For the pieces I was able to handle, I am partial to the black DLC variant. Autodromo calls one of the accent colors red, but to me, it reads as an almost neon pinkish color that really drives home that certain 1980s design ethos. The brushed steel case variant is a close second.And with that, I'd like to thank you all for having a look at some of the coolest watches I've seen in a while.
