Iverheal 12 Tablet binds to glutamate-activated chloride ion channels present in muscle and nerve cells of microfilariae, causing an increased influx of chloride ions leading to paralysis and death of the parasite. Iverheal 12 mg tablet acts as a GABA agonist, disrupting neurosynaptic transmission in the CNS. Iverheal 12 mg tablet contains 12 mg of ivermectin, a deworming medicine. This tablet is used to treat anguillulosis, onchocerciasis and scabies and is used as an orphan drug in cases of lice, blepharitis, filariasis and gnathosomiasis. It is a vermifuge Ziverdo Kit used in the treatment of anguillulosis, onchocerciasis and scabies in adults and not recommended for children under 15 kg, caution in geriatrics because of its toxicity.
