Berthoud greatly expanded on his earlier written work in "Essai sur L'horlogerie" the first edition of which appeared in 1763. Here at link HSNY we have first and second editions in link our rare books case. They're gorgeous but they're a link solid medium size so I'm not going to write about them in detail here.
