In Loa II we have 3 Kingdoms where our Heroes comes from.
Choosing a squad with Heroes coming from the same Kingdom will give u Affinity Effect which will greatly increase and make your squad stronger.
The type of Heroes you pick for your squad would depend too with the kind of support they give. We have 4 types in the game.
To check your Heroes Affinities u can go from Hero Icon 
then Rec. Line-up
then you will see this panel
By clicking a hero you can see its affinities with Heroes and equipment and the bonus stats it gives.
