Finally, the falska zenith klocka last watch J.J. bought, and the watch he was wearing when we met for coffee, is one that came his way after signing his most recent contract – a Patek Philippe 5170G. This manually wound chronograph was released this year at basel World and uses Patek's in-house chronograph caliber. Sized at 39mm, the 5170 is a truly classical chronograph and one of the finest in the world at that.So is the H0 a watch for everyone? Absolutely not. Will purists and those interested in more modest timepieces likely scoff and turn the other way? For sure. But they shouldn't. Even if you're not going to be strapping on an H0 anytime soon, I believe it's always exciting when genuinely new horological ideas appear and I'm happy to see that even in today's climate there are people and companies willing to experiment and try new things.The shrunken size is a big deal, but let's be honest: It's nothing compared to the biggest news of the day, which is that Rolex made one of these 36mm Explorers in two-tone metal, steel and gold. Grand Seiko watches up to now have been a Seiko sub-brand, with the Seiko logo at 12:00 and Grand Seiko at 6:00. However, moving forward, Grand Seiko will be presented as an independent brand and the dials will simply read "Grand Seiko." The best part of the metal though is how billige montblanc ure well it plays with the dial, the true star of the show. A Grain d'Orge guilloché dial, the color is listed as "Deep Ruby" but I think it is absolutely fair, correct even, to call it "purple."Any Vacheron 4072 in good condition is already a special watch. Back in January, I included a photo of a pink-on-pink example at the Miami Beach Antique Show, and it's still one of the best vintage watches I've seen this year (I was told it sold soon after that for a healthy six figures).

I have never had a watch with a moon phase. Not sure I have ever even touched one. This one adjusts with a soft pusher, like a pencil, and it looked simple enough, all I needed to do was find out the link moon phase we were in: link Waning crescent. I had link to push the thing like 23 times to get there. I'm assuming there's a way to get the watch to the exact moment of waning crescent that we're in, and I plan on doing that later, after I've talked to Nick about my raise. link
