Price, $4,900.In terms of legibility, Hamilton does a great job, as usual. This is a field watch, with no complication other than telling the time, that manages to indicate hours (both 12 and 24), minutes, and seconds in a visually pleasing, functional formation. Dial text is minimal as well, with just the Hamilton wordmark – sans logo – and the words Khaki and Automatic taking us home.Living the slow life is a deliberate choice, and wearing the Slow watch is, too. It's about minimalism all around. The watch is devoid of branding, and there are no superfluous design flourishes. The case is the fanciest aspect of the watch, and even then its rectangular bevels and stubby lugs seem spartan and reserved. Reading the time with a single hand is intuitive, but maybe I'm just programmed to live the slow life.

Priced at $3,250 on a rubber strap and $3,500 on the steel bracelet, and while certainly an appealing overall package, the BR V2-93 GMT faces some considerable competition on all sides from the likes of Tudor, Sinn, Hamilton, Montblanc, Oris, and more. A gold G-Shock is a gold G-Shock – there's not really anything else quite like it. But, in the interest of keeping things interesting, I was able to pinpoint to very different watches that represent different approaches to where this watch falls in the greater horological landscape. And when I say very different, I mean very different.From the dial to the case, this Autavia is in overall great shape. One aspect of these watches that I am very particular about is the sub-dials. Oftentimes they would develop patina and they can look dirty, these have remained clean and white which is always appreciated. The lume has aged to a gorgeous buttery yellow color giving it a quintessential vintage vibe. It appears that this watch has been well taken care of over the years and it's time for a new wrist!
