I play a lot of blitz games but I never review them. I know I should but I just click next game. When I do look at the engine it just says mistake without explaining why. I want to actually learn from my losses. How do you guys go about analyzing your games to actually get better? I feel like I am making the same blunders over and over again.

The engine is a tool, not a teacher. It gives you a number but not the idea behind it. To really grow, you need to go through the game with a human who can explain the strategy. I started using https://chess-grandmaster.com/ for this exact purpose. The benefit is that a human coach can tell you "you moved here because you were greedy" or "you missed this threat," which an engine cannot do. You should save your games and spend one hour a week reviewing them with a mentor. You will pinpoint your weaknesses much faster than just looking at computer lines.
